It's been a banner year for Australian trio RÜFÜS DU SOL. Their third studio album followed on the wild popularity of last year's single "Innerbloom" and helped turn RÜFÜS into one of the brightest acts on the modern electronic stage. The live band brings a magical energy to the stage, but the guys know how to deliver a solid DJ mix, too -- a skill they showcase to great effect on their two-hour Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1.

This mix includes plenty of RÜFÜS originals, but it also showcases some of the sounds the band digs on, including two tracks from Simian Mobile Disco, the title track from Jon Hopkins' 2018 LP Singularity, and Billboard Dance Ones to Watch pick Durante.

Pete Tong absolutely gushes about RÜFÜS in the intro. See why for yourself with the Essential Mix streaming now on the BBC website.
