Marshmello's manager Moe Shalizi is leaving Red Light Management and starting his own firm, sources tell Billboard.
Shalizi, 28, is taking all of his clients with him, including Marshmello, sources say. His other acts include Jauz, Ookay, Slushii, Ghastly, Sikdope and Southside of 808 Mafia. Shalizi declined to comment.
Shalizi began his career in music promoting his own dance music parties in Corona, California, when he was 21 and a student at University of California, Riverside. That developed into an event series and soon he began managing some of the artists he was booking. In 2014, his newly signed client Jauz had a breakout dance hit with "Feel the Volume" and the following year Shalizi joined Red Light Management.
