GRiZ Shares Schedule for Detroit Charity '12 Days of GRiZMAS 2019'

Jason Siegel

It's important during this and every holiday season to remember the less fortunate. While many receive gifts and annual bonuses, plenty are left out in the figurative and literal cold. Detroit is one city that knows hardship, and a little too well, so local man-turned-international star GRiZ makes sure to bring all kinds of cheer to his neighbors -- and you can help.

Giving never felt so good as it does during the 12 Days of GRiZMAS. For five years running, the Good Will Prevail producer organizes concerts and community events throughout his hometown. This year's lineup includes caroling, a charity barcade, yoga, bowling and a local mic night, as well as plenty of shows decked with stellar lineups. It's rounded out with two back-to-back shows from GRiZ at Detroit's Masonic Temple, the first of which will see him joined by his 15-piece live band.

This year's GRiZMAS runs Tuesday, Dec. 4, to Saturday, Dec. 15. He'll also operate a GRiZMAS workshop each day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where participants can drop off donations as well as engage in arts and crafts, a coat drive and other means of spreading holiday cheer.

“GRiZMAS is my favorite time of year, and this time it's going to be the best one yet," GRiZ tells Billboard Dance. "I can't wait to share in the excitement with everyone.”

This year's event will raise money for Detroit public schools and their music programs. It's GRiZ's way of giving back to the community that gave him the skills, knowledge, tools and support to get where he is now. To RSVP or just learn more, visit GRiZMAS online. You can also make a direct donation and spread the love from anywhere in the world.
