Forbes may have recently revealed Marshmello's identity once and for all in his recent 30 under 30 cover story, but that doesn't mean the jig is up. After all, kids love the confectionary DJ and producer the most, and what kid reads Forbes? The mysterious DJ still wishes to keep his ego under wraps, and he's not taking the helmet off for anyone -- not even for John C. Reilly, which might have stuck in the actor and comedian's craw.
The two met behind the scenes of Good Morning America when the masked musician came to perform his hit "Happier" alongside Bastille's Dan Smith. Reilly was there for an interview and asked Marshmello for a picture. It turns out the Wreck-It Ralph star is a big fan of the gooey guy, but he wanted a pic sans helmet. That was a non-starter, and rumor has it Reilly went off the rails back in his green room.
The New York Post's gossip column Page Six had a field day with the news, but it turns out it may have been more of a gaffe than a serious row. Either way, at least we know we're on the same level as a star actor like Reilly. See? He's just like us.
