Aoki's 'Neon Future III' album is out today.

Steve Aoki and Blink-182 united for a new collaboration titled "Why Are We So Broken," out today (Nov. 9) along with the rest of Aoki's new album Neon Future III.

The song kicks off with a catchy beat before Barker's notoriously thunderous drums take over. Vocalist Matt Skiba then hops in, melancholic lyrics contrasting with Aoki's uplifting basslines.

The joint track emerged after a 15-year-friendship between the DJ and Blink's drummer Travis Barker. “I’ve been friends with Steve for over 15 years, [so] doing a song with Steve and my band just came so easy,” Barker says, via Alternative Press. “I think this song is a good balance between Steve Aoki and blink-182.”

“blink-182 are one of my favorite bands in the world, and they happen to be some of my close friends,” Aoki adds. “There’s nothing better than making music with good friends that inspire the hell out of you.”
