Tiesto Channels Marvin Gaye on Festival Stomper 'Grapevine': Listen

Were you at Ultra Music Festival in Miami earlier this year? Did you catch Tiesto's set? Maybe you watched it on the live stream from the comfort of an air-conditioned living room? If you answered "yes" to any of the above, you may have heard the Dutch DJ and producer's Marvin Gaye-sampling tune "Grapevine," you know, from the classic Motown favorite "I Heard It Through the Grapevine."

Tiesto's version is decidedly more bass-heavy, but it's still got that Detroit soul swing. He debuted the track at the Ultra set, but it gets a full studio release Friday (Oct. 26) via his label Musical Freedom.

"After first playing 'Grapevine' and getting such a huge response at Ultra Miami this year, I knew it was special," he's quoted ina  press release. "It’s finally ready, and I’m really excited for everyone to have it."

It's his second solo original of the year, following the massive "WOW." It sounds akin to his 2017 single "Boom" too. Check out "Grapevine" below.
