Elley Duhé's name has been everywhere lately. She's the collaborator on Zedd?'s summer single "Happy Now" and Gryffin?'s viral hit-in-the-making "Tie Me Down," both of which are currently featured on Spotify's Today's Top Hits playlist. Shortly after both standout releases, Duhé dropped her debut six-track EP, Dragon Mentality, on RCA Records, which is paired with a headline tour. From the quality looks to the strategic execution to her incredible raw talent, Duhé is certainly an artist to watch in 2018.
The Greek DJ/producer has seen his star rise significantly since last year’s Swagon EP on Lee Foss’ eclectic Repopulate Mars imprint. The title track boasts more than 3.7 million plays on Spotify -- no small feat for a tech house release -- and became an oft-played Ibiza anthem. 2018 has seen Detlef drop well-received releases on Hot Creations and Relief Records and become a fixture at Jamie Jones’ globe-trotting Paradise parties. Momentum is definitely on Detlef’s side.
SVDDEN Death has only been around for a few years, but has already established a strong core fanbase. The bass upstart recently dropped his debut EP VOYD Vol. 1 and now has fans begging for Vol. 2. His joint tour with AFK had numerous sold-out stops in Boulder, Chicago, San Francisco and more. With strong stamps of approval from headliners like Borgore and Getter already, SVDDEN Death is well on his way to becoming one himself. ?
She may have just released her debut EP, but Kittens is no newcomer to the scene. She’s been a favorite DJ among Los Angeles residents for years, getting big looks as a performer at Fool’s Gold Day Off and one fourth of the Athletixx crew (Kittens, Promnite, Falcons and Hooboi) as early as 2014. Her heavy mixes are beat driven blends of trunk rattling hip-hop and body-jerk electronics, a blend that brought her on tour with Kid Cudi and made Usher an early fan. Even with the latter’s mentorship in the studio, Kittens let her skills simmer, focusing less on single production and more on social impact.
In 2017, she partnered with Run D.M.C’s Scratch DJ Academy and Serato on PWR WITH KITTENS, an all-female DJ workshop series from which all proceeds were donated to a local women’s shelter. Now, in summer 2018, she’s ready to show her claws. Her two-track debut Zanon & On, released on Fool's Gold, is a graceful picture of electro-pop trap-fusion. "To Light" features hot verses from Flipp Dinero and Kollision alongside a winding melody that pays homage to her Persian roots. it’s mirage-inducing instrumental title track stomps with desert heat, too. She was already slaying the festival circuit. Now that she’s packing her own ammunition, expect an even deadlier shot.
Hailing from Ukraine, ARTBAT become a veritable force to be reckoned with in the underground. The Kiev-based duo have struck a chord among fellow producers with their tastefully dramatic dancefloor creations. Since making their debut on Diynamic in 2017, the pair have gone on to top Beatport’s Deep House chart on multiple occasions with tracks like "Tabu" and "Prometheus." It’s no surprise to see everyone from Solomun to deadmau5 supporting their music: ARTBAT’s knack for stadium-sized production is undeniable.
