Justice's Live 'Chorus' Is a Lightning Storm Of Electronic Metal Energy: Listen
Good morning to everyone, but especially Justice, who just launched what might be the mightiest electronic missile of the year.
If you're looking for something to get your blood pumping, the live version of "Chorus," from the upcoming live album Woman Worldwide, is an adrenal jump that comes with a doctor's warning.
The original track from the French duo's third album Woman was already a face beater, but this live version is an all-out aural assault. At just over six minutes long, it runs the gamut of cinematic mood, blistering metal, trudging guitar grime and screeching bloghouse noise. You may not have much of a face left by the final minute mark. It may be unsafe to listen to "Chorus" while operating heavy machinery.
"Chorus" is part of the big climactic movement of the Woman Worldwide live set which snakes its way through a few more festival lineups before coming to a big finish at Austin City Limits, Oct. 5 to 14. The full live album is out Friday, Aug. 24, though you can preorder it on a special vinyl release today.
Listen to "Chorus" below, and do try not to smash anything.
