Dusky Returns With 'Amongst the Gods,' Announces New EP: Exclusive

Dan Wilton
Dusky

What does it take to get into house heaven? Solid bass lines, funky breakbeats and classic, soulful house chords. Dusky has a golden ticket, of course, and the U.K. duo's latest single sees them spinning miraculous warehouse melodies on "Amongst the Gods.'

The upbeat rhythm is but a first taste of things to come on a new release. The Aset Forever EP promises five tracks of varying moods and styles, dedicated to Dusky's friend Jan Francis who died in late 2017. Francis was a founder of London's famed ATG graffiti crew and School Records label. He was instrumental in the duo's early career, booking some of their first-ever gigs in London.

The Aset Forever EP will feature everything from techno to Italo-disco, but "Amongst the Gods" is pure, unadulterated funky house groove. It'll get your blood pumping, so grab that water bottle and get to raving like it's 1989.

The EP is out Sept. 14, and the single is out Friday, Aug. 17, but you can listen to "Amongst the Gods" in full, exclusively on Billboard Dance. The guys are going on tour in support of the EP, as well, and you can check the dates below.
