Trap aficionado Boombox Cartel has earned acclaim in the dance world for showstoppers like "B2U," "Supernatural" and most recently, "Moon Love" featuring Republic Records rapper Nessly. However, the bass boomer switches gears on his latest release "People I Know" featuring Sydney-based singer Panama, which Billboard Dance has the pleasure of premiering today (Aug. 16).

"This isn't something the fans would expect," Boombox Cartel tells Billboard, "But I want them to experience the roots of this project, at least for just one song. It felt fitting to release it before the summer ends."

With respect to working with Panama, he says it's "been a dream," adding that he started the track over three years ago. Dance fans may be familiar with Panama's smooth vocal work on Petit Biscuit's "Waterfall."
