Marshmello Announces Amr Diab Collaboration

Marshmello performs at the Navy Pier in Chicago on April 7, 2018.

Dance music is a universal language, and who doesn't like anthropomorphic dessert? The cool cats in Egypt have a bustling dance music scene, so Marshmello took his candy-coated talents to the transcontinental country and got in the studio with "Mediterranean Music" godfather Amr Diab.

The Port Said singer-songwriter has been an icon in the Arabic music world since the '80s. He's landed five albums in the top 10 of the World Albums chart, with Shoft El Ayam reaching No. 1 in 2014. He's got a silky, R&B lean to his music. It'll be interesting to see what Marshmello cooks up for him and what he croons over the dance-pop crossover kid's jams.

Marshmello isn't letting too much out about the collaboration. We don't have a release date or any sonic teasers, but he did take to Twitter to announce the song and let fans know it's "going to be crazy." We also know he's about to release something on legendary electronic label Astralwerks. Safe to say he's staying busy.

Check the tweet about Diab and Marshmello below, and stay tuned for more info.
