Steve Aoki performs on stage during Miami Music Week 2018 at RC Cola Plant on March 23, 2018 in Miami.

Since last year, EDM producer Steve Aoki has quickly become one of Korean septet BTS’ most-frequent collaborators, having worked with them on last year’s Love Yourself: Her’s “Mic Drop (Remix)” with Desiigner and this year’s ballad “The Truth Untold” from the historic Love Yourself: Tear. With a radical difference between the sonic style of the two songs, fans at Tomorrowland were treated to an alternate, EDM version of “The Truth Untold” on Friday.

Originally performed by BTS' four vocalists -- Jimin, Jin, Jungkook and V -- “The Truth Untold” is a heartfelt, piano-based ballad that reflects on lost opportunities. But at Tomorrowland, Aoki changed things up, adding intense beats, reverbs and synths to create a feel-good party vibe that got the whole crowd dancing. Mid-song, the songwriter cut the music and gave the group’s fandom a shout-out.

“This one goes out to all the BTS ARMY all around the world,” he shouted to the crowd.

Upon its performance on Friday, fans shared videos from the Tomorrowland live stream and made several hashtags related to the track -- including #TheTruthUntoldRemix -- trend on Twitter.

Though there is no official version of "The Truth Untold" remix, Aoki has since shared a short snippet of the song on Twitter, along with a video of his entire set.
