It's been four long years of silence for Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs fans. The unique electronic voice has been mute since 2014's "Feels Like" with Anna Lunoe, and six excruciating years since he released his fantastic debut album Trouble. He's kept up with the DJing, but fans have clamored for new tunes -- and if it was a hard wait for fans, imagine the struggle for himself.

“All my time has been spent making music and thinking about making music,” TEED is quoted in a press release, “but I couldn't see a way for it to be fun, both personally and with regards to the state of the industry itself."

After his album success, the producer moved from his native Oxford to London. He expected to find inspiration in the musical hub, but instead, he found creative block. He called that period "fruitless" and moved to Los Angeles. It took him another six months before he found his voice again. Finally, things have "started to fall into place."

“I had to start releasing music or I would have broken," he says. "Now, I feel like there are no rules, and I'm strong enough to do things my way and fail gloriously.”

"Leave a Light On" is the first new single, and it's heavy, like coming out of darkness. More than four minutes long, it starts as a slow, simple ballad and builds toward something delightfully spacey. It's really quite the treat, different from the stuff TEED has released before. It's got us excited to hear more. Listen to "Leave a Light On" below.
