One of the more complicated, controversial figures to emerge in the '80s, Traci Lords successfully transitioned from adult movies to a mainstream acting career with roles in John Waters' Cry-Baby and TV shows like Roseanne, Married…with Children, Melrose Place, Gilmore Girls, Will & Grace and more. Along the way, Lords revealed a flair for music, too, hitting No. 2 on Dance Club Songs in 1995 with "Control" and most recently earning a No. 4 hit on that chart with "Last Drag."
Now, and just in time for her 50th birthday, Lords is back in the musical groove with the sensuous, whispery synth jam "Come Alive" -- and today, Billboard is premiering its lyric video.
