Serge Devant

There’s a palpable swagger that permeates the work of Serge Devant. Between his tight-knit tech house arrangements and restrained melodies, there’s a sense of effortlessness.

It's a style which has thus far charmed the likes of global house figures like Hot Since 82 and Damian Lazarus, with Devant supplying no shortage of club favorites for both artists. Lazarus, in particular, has become one of Devant’s more outspoken champions, signing him to his electronic imprint Crosstown Rebels, and slotting him into lineups like Day Zero and Get Lost.

For his latest EP, Serge Devant makes his official return to the label, bearing a standout three track EP titled White Groove. The title track, which Billboard Dance is exclusively premiering, is the kind of silky, brooding tech house creation which Devant has built his name off of. Deceivingly minimal, with a variety of textures floating in and out of its stereo field, it’s a functional dance floor weapon with an otherworldly appeal.

Serge Devant’s White Groove EP is due out on Crosstown Rebels on Friday, April 27. Pre-order it here and listen to the title track below.
