Avicii Remembered at Dance Party Memorial in Stockholm

Thousands gathered on Saturday (April 21) to pay tribute to Avicii in Stockholm, Sweden. Fans held a dance party memorial in remembrance of the Swedish DJ at the city's Sergels Torg plaza.

Those in attendance danced, clapped and held their hands up in the shape of hearts as Avicii's music filled the area.

Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead Friday (April 20) in Muscat, Oman, at the age of 28. His cause of death has not been revealed.

Fellow artists including Calvin Harris, deadmau5, Marshmello, Madonna and more paid respects to the DJ following his death.

Neil Jacobson, president of Geffen Records, says Avicii had been working on "his best music in years" just before his passing. While plans about putting out the unreleased music are unclear, he said, "It’s just a tragedy. We have this incredible, magical music."
