Flo Rida

Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard's dance charts.

Flo Rida, "Sweet Sensation"

Flo Rida rolls onto Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Apr. 14) at No. 46 with "Sweet Sensation." The pop-dance track takes its title from a prominently featured vocal sample of the 1991 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch, featuring Loleatta Holloway. "Sweet" is Flo's fourth chart entry and first in three years, since his featured turn on "Tonight Belongs to U!" by Jeremih (No. 14, May 2015). Flo floated to 418,000 U.S. streams for "Sweet" in the tracking week ending April 5, according to Nielsen Music.

Seven Lions + Jason Ross featuring Jonathan Mendelsohn, "Ocean"

Seattle-based Seven Lions (a.k.a. DJ/producer Jeff Montalvo), teaming with producer Jason Ross, opens at No. 20 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales with "Ocean," featuring Jonathan Mendelsohn. Seven Lions land their first entry since "Rush Over Me" (credited to Seven Lions, Illenium & Said The Sky featuring Haliene), which hit No. 35 in November 2016. "Ocean" is the act's first top 20 title and highest-charting of four entries. The first appearance for both Ross and Mendelsohn, "Ocean" sold 1,000 downloads in the tracking week.

Solar Fields, Ourdom

Swedish ambient electronic composer Solar Fields (a moniker for Magnus Birgersson) shines on Dance/Electronic Album Sales, as Ourdom debuts at No. 13. Although Birgersson has released over a dozen albums, Ourdom marks the artist's first Billboard chart appearance. In addition to creating his own original studio albums, Solar Fields has also written video game scores, including for the Electronic Arts game Mirror's Edge.
