The New York City streets have been a cultural platform for so many musical icons. In the '90s, it was a place where electronic dance and hip-hop flourished, although not close together as they had in the '70s and '80s when the genres first emerged.

Back then, Moby thought his career was coming to a quiet finish. He wrote his seminal album Play with low expectations, though it went on to be a timeless, generational classic.

Today, a new NYC legend in the making turns the Play anthem "Porcelain" into a trippy feast. A$AP Rocky is marvelous on "A$AP Forever," a strong statement wherein he finds comfort in being a famously fashionable hero on an international scale.

He sticks hard to his roots and his closest crew, and he also stick hard to the original beat. The song even fades away into what is almost entirely just a play of "Porcelain," straight up.

It's super cool when your favorites collide, and it's even cooler to watch the official music video for "A$AP Forever" below.
