Slushii Serves Bass-Induced Brain Freeze on 'Find Your Wings' EP: Listen

A skeleton emerges from a mountain of darkness, a broad sword in hand, his figure backlit by wild lightning. Is this a Metallica album cover? Nay, it is the latest EP from Slushii, the zany-haired electro-bass brother often seen beside crossover champion Marshmello, though today, he needs no help from his friends. His seven-track EP Find Your Wings is a funk-breathing hell beast with no features needed.

It crashes open hard "No More" before moving toward the danceable on "Fired Up." "Bow Down" continues in a wicked dubstep direction with a lazy breakbeat backbone. His previously released tune "Level Up" appears, as does lead single "Where I'm At." Things get progressively grimier until the title track turns on the complextro and the signal to sing-along.

"I wanted to give my fans and the dance community a super crazy collection of songs to show how versatile my music can be," Slushii says in an emailed statement. "This is the kind of music I grew up on and I wanted to put my own personal twist on it. I’m so hype for the songs to finally be out and can’t wait to see the crowd reaction when I play these tracks on tour."

Slushii just rocked the crowds at Ultra in Miami, but if you still need your big gulp of bass, you can catch him on the road for the There x2 Tour. Tickets are on sale now, and Find Your Wings is out everywhere today. Listen to it below, if you dare.
