A lot of electronic producers dream of entering the film-score world. Edgy progressive house and techno don deadmau5 recently jumped into it with an opening sequence for one of his favorite Twitch streamers, and his old buddy Zedd is now scoring cinematic sonics about, well, the entire world.

The "Break Free" producer teamed with National Geographic on the journalism platforms latest documentary, "One Strange Rock." It tells the daunting story of our Universe and our home planet in 10 parts, produced by Darren Aronofsky and Jane Root, and hosted by Will Smith. Zedd created a new tune for the series intro, and from the sound of the official trailer, Zedd's use of emotional melodies and bold atmospheres is the perfect sound to bring the stunning visuals to life.

“I’ve always been a fan of Darren Aronofsky, and am really excited to partner with National Geographic to create an original composition for the series,” Zedd is quoted in a press release. “I’ve immersed myself in the visual spectrum and am inspired to take on a different approach by experimenting with natural sounds and exploring grand themes that are representative of the world around us.”

You can check out the trailer below, but look out for more musical updates from Zedd's Vevo account and be sure to tune in to "One Strange Rock" on National Geographic on Monday night (March 26) at 10 p.m. ET.
