DJ Snake Controls The Spice on 'Magenta Riddim': Listen

DJ Snake

The wait is over. DJ Snake dropped his first tune of 2018, and it's a real spicy blend of worldwide rhythm.

It's a return to his dance-oriented roots for the day ones. "Magenta Riddim" is part south Asian mysticism, part Caribbean riddim and part trap-dance bang fest. The hook is played on what sounds like a pungi -- the flute traditionally used by snake charmers -- but as the title suggests, it's all about the hip-swirling beat. A chanting vocal pulls the whole thing together, once again proving that DJ Snake is at his best and most innovative when he blends the colors of different cultures together into a beautiful tapestry we can all vibe with.

"Magenta Riddim" is out now on Geffen Records. Fall under it's enchanting spell below.
