A young man opens his eyes in a bleak and deserted wasteland. For him, it's another day trying to survive in the shadow of a once-great industrial land. The year is uncertain, but it is far from our own -- at least far enough to include hovering motorbikes -- but not so far that you won't recognize some of the discarded trucks and planes that litter the junkyard that makes this lonely man's home.

Such is the setting of Maceo Plex's cinematic music video for the DNCN-featuring "Polygon Pulse," a song that beats darkly throughout the dystopian play, perfectly brought to life by the steampunk visuals. Neither the song nor the video is devoid of hope, though. Music plays a key role in this uncertain future. Our hero soon meets another solo rider, and an epic journey begins. Where it ends, you'll just have to see for yourself.

The breathtaking video is more of a short film than anything else. It was produced by Whitelist and directed by Joe Sill, whose worked on projects with NASA, Tesla and Google Glass. His knack for storytelling through visual and his moody color scheme will keep you entranced under Maceo Plex's hauntingly beautiful spell from start to finish.

"Polygon Pulse" is the latest single from Maceo Plex's Solar album, which was released on his label Lone Romantic in July of 2017. Watch the official music video below, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
