Marshmello and Anne-Marie Have No Love on Wild Collab 'Friends': Listen

Marshmello performs during Snow Fest at Park City Live on Jan. 21, 2018 in Park City, Utah.

Marshmello promised he's got a dance music EP on the way for his day-one fans, but that doesn't mean he's taking a break from his pop takeover. He recently hooked up with Anne-Marie -- but don't get any ideas. They're just "Friends."

The pair's new track is a wild genre-blending ode to friend zoning that one dude who just doesn't get it. The English singer delivers a bossy performance that would put any dog's tail between its legs, while Marshmello plays clever on acoustic guitar over a bumpin' electronic beat and even works in some G-Funk, West Coast synth work.

We could spell it out for you more, or you could just give "Friends" a listen below. It's got a little bit of something for everyone, unless you're looking for romance. You won't find any of that gushy stuff here.
