Pendulum Loses MC Ben the Verse After 11 Years

After 11 years of touring and recording, Pendulum MC Ben Mount, aka Ben the Verse, has said farewell to his bandmates.

He took to Instagram to post a happy goodbye. It doesn't seem there was much animosity in the split. He wished the rest of the band good luck and posted a pic of himself happily hugging partner and collaborator El Hornet onstage.

It seems a strange time for anyone to leave the group. The live drum'n'bass act took the stage as a headline act at Ultra Music Festival Miami in 2016, and frontman Rob Swire promised the band had new music coming in 2018. No telling if Mount is featured on the releases. Whatever the case, Verse will not be on the road.

The official Pendulum Twitter and Instagram accounts have not published any posts about the break. Mount first appeared on the band's 2010 album Immersion as the vocalist on "The Vulture." Check out his goodbye post below.
