J Balvin Says Skrillex Worked on His Forthcoming Album: Watch

Jason Nocito

J Balvin is making major moves on the international radio scene. The Colombian reggaeton singer took over the world with his infectious hit "Mi Gente," and we know he's been messin' with the electronic dance crowd when he tapped Dillon Francis for a remix of the jam. Guess it only stands to reason that if you work with someone like Francis, you're going to meet Skrillex, and once you've met Skrill, there's no chance you're not getting a piece of his production prowess.

In a recent Facetime interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe, Balvin admitted that the crossover champion did some work on his forthcoming album. He drops Skrill's name right before the video clip fades, so we can't say anything about what it will sound like, other than his own word: "wild." We can, perhaps, interpret a Skrillex take on the Latin sound by checking out his recently teased work with Jennifer Lopez.

The singer also announced Camila Cabello and Pharrell make an appearance, and he told a pretty funny story about not being able to hop on a remix because of his relationship with a certain liquor company. It's a cute clip if you enjoy Balvin. Check it out below, and stay tuned for more information on his Skrillex collab to come.
