Dillon Francis has been on a moombahton mission for nearly a decade and has helped catapult the reggae-fused sound into the spotlight with records like "Masta Blasta," "Bun Up The Dance" with Skrillex and now "Ven."

The latest release is a collaboration with reggaeton artists Arcangel & Quimico Ultra Mega that rides on a eerie, bass-thumping beat. Francis took to Instagram today (Jan. 24) that he's be been focused on making moombahton records over the last 18 months, traveling everywhere from Miami to Mexico City to the Dominican Republic to write; "Ven" in particular was record in the Dominican Republic.

"We decided to do some crazy club shit," Francis says in a press release. "You don’t have to understand a word of the verses, because that drop is like the universal New York anthem—whether you’re American or Dominican. You could hear it on the dance floor and just not give a fuck what anyone thinks."

"Ven" is the lead single off Francis' upcoming Spanish language studio album coming later this year. The LP was was executive produced by Toy Selectah. Listen to "Ven" below:

For the last 18 months i've been spending most of my time between shows at the studio. My goal was to have fun, inspire myself, and make something amazing, so when I got time in the studio I focused on making Moombahton records. I asked @toyselectah to help me source some vocals and we got into an amazing rhythm and I kept writing songs. We went to NY, Miami, Dominican Republic and Mexico City to work and it was some of the most incredible experiences ever. So here’s the first song off my upcoming album... VEN Feat. @Arcangel & @Quimicoultramega ••••••••••••••••••••OUT NOW•••••••••••••••••••••• There's A LOT of new music coming, and it's really exciting for me to share ...i hope you love it.
