Krewella Helps Lookas Show His Softer Side on Guitar-Heavy 'Alarm': Exclusive

Miami is a city all about bass, but it's also a tropical paradise. You can't be going full speed ahead into a dark cloud 24/7. There are plenty of moments to inspire calm reflection in a dizzy, smiling daze. Genre-hopping producer Lookas hails from the Magic City, and he taps into all its many facets on his forthcoming EP, to be released on Monstercat soon.

He rocked fans with snarling lead single "Eclipse," but today, he slows things down with "Alarm," a song that features heavy use of acoustic guitar, introspective percussion and emotive vocals from Krewella. It's a daydream song for getting lost in the moment, a tune for those who wish to let the world fade from view.

"Alarm" is the first Lookas tune to feature vocals since his 2015 Flo Rida collab "G.D.F.R.," which reached No. 8 on the Hot 100 featuring Sage the Gemini. The new tune is out on Monstercat Friday, Dec. 1, but you can listen to it in full below, exclusively on Billboard Dance
