Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers perform during the 2017 Global Citizen Festival at The Great Lawn of Central Park on Sept. 23, 2017 in New York City.

The Chainsmokers were rewarded for their decision to go live in 2017 with an MTV European Music Award for Best World Stage, beating out tough competitors including Tomorrowland, Steve Aoki, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and DNCE

The "Closer" duo has serenaded stadiums around the globe on its Memories...Do Not Open Tour. The win comes specifically for The Chainsmokers' hour-long performance at for Isle of MTV, when the guys took the stage in Floriana, Malta (an island off the coast of Northern Africa) earlier this year. The production is pretty overwhelming, and there is definitely a lot of jumping.

Check out the guys' award-winning moment below.

The Chainsmokers (Drew Taggart and Alex Pall) couldn't be in attendance to accept their award, but quickly took to Twitter to celebrate their achievement and thank their fans for helping make 2017 their biggest year yet.
