You know that one dance music lover that was all into trap music in 2013, but has since exchanged their bandana and kandi for a big hat and a deep v-neck, and now all they do is go on and on about transcendent all-night yacht parties with tech house? That person is Carnage.

The Papi Gordo producer announced on Twitter that he wants to play a "4 hour tech house set somewhere before the years (sic) over," and the internet peanut gallery is going bananas.

Folks may be scratching their heads, but the announcement doesn't seem to have come from nowhere. Fans throughout the years have noted when Carnage would drop tech house in the middle of club sets, tweeting about it as far back as 2014. He also did release a techy tune with Erick Morillo years ago called "Let The Freak Out." His latest release on Spotify, "Time for the Techno," while decidedly not a techno track, does have the genre in the name.

Is this a new era for the Chipotle Gang leader? Could Carnage be the next Steve Lawler? Time will tell.
