Damon Albarn hasn't been shy about all the writing he's gotten done on the current Gorillaz tour. He told Billboard Dance about some American-themed tunes in the works, some of which have been unveiled during various performance on the US leg of the Humanz tour.

Today, he shares a different song, a hyper, experimental beat with apocalyptic edge. "Garage Palace" is danceable but challenging, with a spitfire verse from British rapper Little Simz.

It feels very much in line with the sound of the Humanz era, and it may not be yet the last song we see from the cartoon band before 2018. Albarn revealed to Zane Lowe he's got another song he'd like to put out in the coming two months. He also let it be known that he's been in the studio with Mike Will Made It, churning out a few track ideas, as well as future bass kingpin Flume. Oh, and he's trying to get Usher to get behind the mic. Casual.

"Garage Palace" is out everywhere on Parlophone and Warner Music. Listen to it and check out the accompanying visual below, plus the interview clip with Lowe from Beats 1.
