Amsterdam Dance Event 2017: 13 Must-See Showcases

From house and techno to big room and trap, the five-day mecca of electronic music returns to host the world's best parties across all sub-genres.

As tree leaves turn, so does the dance industry's focus on the year's final major gathering of artists, aficionados and fans known as Amsterdam Dance Event.

Nestled between the river-lined streets of Amsterdam, Netherlands, attendees from the around the world galavant from speaker workshops to multi-genre music showcases and even warehouse raves past dawn for a five-day bender on some of the greatest multi-sensory parties in the world. Ahead of ADE's return to the European central hub from Oct. 18-22, here are Billboard's choices for the top 13 music showcases to add to your daily schedule:

A State Of Trance 836 - ADE Special

Who: Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate, Protoculture, Standerwick b2b Ben Gold

Returning for yet another special ADE edition, trance family rejoice for yet another elite ASOT roster that is sure to electrify the 5,500-capacity AFAS concert hall. Plus, organizers tease a "much-anticipated exclusive announcement" is set to be revealed during the show.

Monstercat Uncaged

One of dance music's rapidly evolving labels, Monstercat, is back with their sophomore installment after a jaw-dropping ADE debut in 2016. With eclectic acts such as NGHTMRE and Seven Lions slated to headline, the bass-heavy showcase of Monstercat artists is guaranteed to solidify the music outfit as force to be reckoned with for many conferences to come.

Trap Nation Presents: Enter the Vortex

One of the music industry's most-followed YouTube channels welcomes a variety of sonic superstars for its inaugural incarnation that is sure to translate its supreme music curation into a head-banging voyage down the rabbit hole.

Detroit Love ADE

The seductive hymns of Detroit are re-imagined in the warehouses of Amsterdam as some of techno's forefathers and pioneers unleash the magic of the underground and remind party-goers of the culture Motor City helped birth.

Circoloco X Loveland

Fresh off yet another stellar summer season on the White Isle, the staple Ibiza rager continues its international extension by partnering again with Loveland for a marathon of house and techno sets from some of the underground's renegade masters.

Toolroom Live

Curated by UK legend Mark Knight's Toolroom Records, house heads shall seek no other haven than the label's annual ADE showcase with a lineup so stacked it'll have you nonstop shuffling and shouting "kwelanga!" till sunrise.

AMF Amsterdam

Debuting at Ibiza's legendary Pacha club three years ago, Martin Solveig's "house" party concept will infiltrate Amsterdam with a dynamic blend of colorful visuals and tastemaking house music acts, many of whom also feature during his Balearic summer tenure.

ADE week, also known as "Hometown Glory" week for Martin Garrix, will see the dance prodigy reintroduce his two-day festival alongside frequent collaborators and friends like Julian Jordan, Florian Picasso and more, further cementing the main stage ruler as a bonafide brand.
