The self-taught musician is no stranger to the spotlight, boasting more than 3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and regularly amassing tens of millions of views on viral videos combining music and comedy. He recently performed at Villa Mix, Brazil's biggest music festival, and opened for Justin Bieber when his Purpose Tour reached Brazil, playing for more than 50,000 fans on each of the leg's three nights.
“Since I was a kid music has always been a major part of my life. Even now, there’s nothing I enjoy more after a long day than playing the piano,” Mancuso says. “It’s such a beautiful way to express any emotion and connect with others.”
Fresh off collaborating with Brazilian star Anitta on her latest single, "Will I See You," Poo Bear had previously starred alongside Mancuso in a comedy video that featured the two friends jamming together. In this case, life elected to imitate art.
“Rudy has a million ideas for songs and lyrics and progressions” says Poo Bear. “He’s always pushing himself to execute because he has a great respect for music and that makes it really fun to work with him.”
Represented by Shots Studios, whose artist roster includes the likes of Anitta and Alesso, Mancuso is in good company for his musical forays.
“Rudy is a game-changer and a complete package in ways we haven’t seen since Charlie Chaplin,” says Shots Studios CEO John Shahidi. “He’s one of the most creative and talented entertainers today.”
“I’m thankful for everyone who has been supporting me through my new musical career,” Mancuso adds. “This was really a team effort, but it’s only just the beginning. So I’ll enjoy this moment and get back to work.”
