There is something decidedly Romeo & Juliet about the music in this new Sirah song, and in the end, the lyrics are about as happy.

"Deadbeat" is not a love-song for the ages, but it is a mean curb-hugger for driving through dirty streets. Skrillex came through on the beat's production, and it sounds like he warped some plucky Renaissance lutes. The hook comes strong with eerie synths. It's very Stranger Things. Whatever the era, if you isolated this beat, it's fit for a room lit solely by candles.

Sirah is a slow-drawl monster all over the track, proving why the two are very comfortable collaborators. They worked together on Skrillex's tracks "Bangarang," "Kyoto," and "Weekends!!!," but this marks the first time Skrill has just handed a tune over to his good friend.

Shout out all the women making it through life without father figures. "Deadbeat" is out everywhere on OWSLA and Atlantic. Listen to it below.
