Ekali Drops Skrillex 'Babylon' Remix During Bumbershoot Set

Skrillex attends the premiere of "Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer" at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Sept. 8, 2015 in Hollywood, Calif.

Vancouver's Ekali went big on his trap tune "Babylon," where machine gun raps from Miami's Denzel Curry go rat-a-tat over the producer's boomin' trap beat. It's a down-tempo stomper with dark edge that came out on OWSLA earlier this summer, but Skrillex must have found it extra inspiring.

The OWSLA head took the stems into the studio and beefed it up with dubstep screeches. Ekali dropped the monster rework during his set at Bumbershoot 2017 in Seattle, and one lucky fan caught the remix on camera.

We don't know when, if ever, the Skrillex version may see official release. Add it to the cue behind his version of Kendrick Lamar's “Humble.” For now, you can experience the grittier, gnarlier “Babylon” below.
