It's been three years in the making, but Kaskade's Redux EP 002 is finally here, and it does not disappoint. Each tune on the release packs its own flavorful punch. Taken as a whole, it's a rather relaxed set of records, more chill than jump-up-and-down, though there are plenty of bass-driven moments to satisfy your deeper side.

It opens with a wubbly hook over a guitar-laden pop groove on “Nobody Like You.” The radio vibe doesn't last long, as “Show of Hands” kicks thing into smoky-club overdrive. It's a funky, beat-heavy house party wave featuring LöKii and Mr. Tape that'll have you head bangin' in your swivel chair.

Kaskade hits us with the sexy comedown next on "Tell Me," with Late Nite Alumni. It's a swingin' take on future bass, a slice of dreamy R&B with jazz drums, both fresh and familiar in an instant. "Play With Me" dives into deep bass melodies and airy vocals. Late Nite Alumni returns on the chill-yet-punchy "Gone," then finishes strong with that starting vibe, a remix of "Nobody Like You" created for his Sun Soaked party series. It encircles the project in a satisfyingly literary way.

The Redux EP 002 is definitely one for the books. Enjoy jammin' to it all weekend.
