Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard's dance charts.

Gryffin and Illenium featuring Daya, "Feel Good"

Gryffin (Los Angeles-based producer Dan Griffith) and Illenium (Denver-based producer Nick Miller) debut at No. 38 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (dated Sept. 2) with "Feel Good," featuring Daya. While it's Gryffin's second chart appearance and Illenium's first, "Feel" is the fourth chart hit for vocalist Daya, who enjoyed six weeks at No. 1 last year as the featured singer on The Chainsmokers' "Don't Let Me Down." Although "Feel" was released back in March, radio is just now starting to, well, feel it, with nearly all its airplay stemming from core-dance outlets WFLZ-HD Tampa, Florida (an iHeartRadio Evolution affiliate), SiriusXM's BPM and Music Choice's Dance/EDM channel.

Evolution Program Director Brian Fink comments to Billboard, "There are a lot of different factors that can cause a song to take awhile to get airplay. But in this case in particular, the original wasn't right for Evolution, unfortunately. Then I received the Brooks remix of the song a few months later, and it was fire. It totally changed the sound, and fit the station much better. We added it right away, and it's been growing very nicely ever since."

Smash Mouth, "Walkin' on the Sun 2017"

Alt-rock vets Smash Mouth score their first entry on Dance Club Songs in 14 years as "Walkin' on the Sun 2017" debuts at No. 49. New remixes, in celebration of the track's 20th anniversary, from the likes of Dave Aude, Mauro Mozart and Dirty Disco, spur the new chart action. The original "Walkin' " led Alternative Songs for five weeks in 1997 and Adult Pop Songs for three weeks. Smash Mouth, on tour throughout this year, is also re-recording its Fush Yu Mang album, which features the original version of the song, semi-acoustically.

Remixer/producer/Audacious label owner Aude tells Billboard, "'Walkin' on the Sun' is a California classic: flip-flops and shorts in the sun. It was my honor to remix this song that everybody knows and loves."

Grum, Anjunabeats Worldwide 07

Scottish progressive trance and house DJ Grum (real name Graeme Shepherd) grabs his first-ever Billboard chart placement as his DJ-mixed compilation Anjunabeats Worldwide 07 debuts at No. 10 on Dance/Electronic Album Sales. Grum is the fourth DJ act to helm a Billboard-charting Anjunabeats compilation, following Above & Beyond, Ilan Bluestone and Jason Ross. Of those, Above & Beyond boasts three top 10s: Anjunabeats: Volume 11 (No. 6, 2014), Anjunabeats, Volume 12 (No. 4, 2016) and Anjunabeats, Volume 13 (No. 4, 2017).
