Listen to Marshmello's 9 Best Remixes

Marshmello performs at Bonnaroo, 2017
FilmMagic/FilmMagic for Bonnaroo Arts And Music Festival

DJ Marshmello performs onstage at The Other Tent during Day 3 of the 2017 Bonnaroo Arts And Music Festival on June 10, 2017 in Manchester, Tenn.

Marshmello may wear a helmet to keep his anonymity, but the DJ is getting increasingly recognized by the dance music world and beyond for his glistening, cushy beats that fit right in line with his sugary stage name.

The artist who got his start with breakthrough 2016 track "Alone" also lends the same bright and bubbly, chipmunk'd approach to hits by fellow DJs, both emerging and established. From Zedd to Noah Cyrus and even Future, there seems to be no genre or artist Marshmello can't tackle.

Ahead of 'mello's set at the Billboard Hot 100 Fest that runs Aug. 19 and 20, we're running down his top nine remixes -- so turn that volume up, and scroll on down.

9. Zedd - "Beautiful Now (Marshmello Remix)"

Marshmellow kicks the speed up a notch on Zedd's True Colors track, accenting its addictive "ba ba ba" chant with a squeaky, ascending beat and a fat, simmering bass line. The drop is unexpectedly edgy, with sharp production and metallic-tinged, zig-zagging electronic effects.

8. Noah Cyrus - "Make Me Cry (Marshmello Remix)"

Marshmello transforms this minimalist Noah Cyrus melody into a smoky beat, adding some helium to Cyrus' soulful vocals to create a brand-new, synth-heavy drop. In other words, this revamp takes the track straight from late-night chill session to nightclub.

7. Anne-Marie - "Alarm (Marshmello Remix)"

Anne-Marie's glitchy 2016 hit gets a smooth rework with this official Marshmello remix, melding a twinkling soundscape with brassy, reverberating chords and heart-pumping percussion. When the beat drops, it's the perfect ratio of dirty grunge to Marshmello's signature bouncy, sparkling sound.

6. DJ Snake - Let Me Love You (Marshmello Remix)

In contrast with Marshmello's often bright style, this remix of DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You" takes on a smoldering, sultry feel. Bieber's croons sound almost ghostly when layered with ticking percussion, a bold, slithering bass line and gritty production.

5. Future - "Mask Off (Marshmello Remix)"

Marshmello's remix of this Future chart-scaling smash builds up slowly on purpose, adding just enough electronic accents to complement the rapper's raspy, mellow verses. But things pick up mid-song, when Marshmello brings in a buoyant, muffled drum that runs adjacent to a chopped up, sped-through version of the track's twirling melody.

4. Era Istrefi - "Bonbon (Marshmello Remix)"

You didn't have to understand the words to Albanian singer Era Istrefi's international 2016 hit "Bonbon" to jam to its dancehall-leaning electronic style. But Marshmello takes the track's instant appeal one step further, laying Istrefi's Rihanna-meets-Sia vocals over rollicking, tribal drums and later, a joyful synth-led drop.

3. Alan Walker - "Sing Me To Sleep (Marshmello Remix)"

You'll be anything but sleepy listening to this rework of Alan Walker's dark, lullaby-ish melody, which drops a grungy, vibrating new beat and quick-fire percussion onto the track's dreamy vocals. It wouldn't be a Marshmello remix without some pitched-up vocal distortions, either, which are sprinkled throughout.

2. Avicii - "Waiting For Love (Marshmello Remix)"

Marshmello amps things up on Avicii's piano-heavy, epic "Waiting For Love" with thudding drums, chipmunk-pitched vocals, piercing keys and a razor-sharp drop. The track's ;energetic new vibe gives the vocals a new life, too, lending a determined and almost triumphant sound to a song that chronicles a week of loneliness.

1. Jack Ü feat. Justin Bieber - "Where Are Ü Now (Marshmello Remix)"

Bet you didn't think Diplo and Skrillex's 2015 smash "Where Are Ü Now" as Jack Ü could get any catchier Marshmello makes it happen in this bubbly, shimmering official remix of the Justin Bieber-featuring hit, which layers echoing, clashing synths over the track and twists up its original drop to a frenzied pace. With 24.7 million Spotify streams and counting, this Marshmello remix manages to hit refresh on one of recent radio's heaviest hitters, gifting fans a whole new version of the crowd favorite to listen to.
