Sofi Tukker Doesn't Care About 'They' on Profanity-Filled Self-Love Single

"Who gives a f--k about they?" asks Sofi Tukker on the dance duo's latest release.

We know members Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpbern don't.

The group's sassy new self-love anthem, titled "F--k They," assigns our anxieties and insecurities to an elusive "they," then joins the listener in triumphantly casting those worries away. All this is to the tune of a glassy, tropical-sounding beat and drawn-out Western guitar strums along the lines of the pair's breakout 2016 track "Drinkee."

Still, the song's shimmery dance club beat is markedly different than the experimental, often tribal material on last year's debut EP Soft Animals, reflecting a turn toward a more pop-tinged sound. "We are hardly beginning," Hawley-Weld whisper-sings on the new song, and she's probably right.
