Taryn Manning

Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard's dance charts. "I feel so pumped and just at home being on the charts again," Manning tells Billboard.

Taryn Manning, "Gltchlfe"

Los Angeles-based actress, DJ, fashion designer, model, producer and singer-songwriter Taryn Manning jumps 33-24 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated July 1) with "Gltchlfe." It's Manning's first chart action in five years, since she scored her first No. 1 as a solo act with "Send Me Your Love," featuring Sultan + Ned Shepard, in 2012.

Manning, who stars as Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black (for which the cast won the 2017 SAG Award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series), is also half of pop/EDM duo Boomkat (with brother Kellin). The tandem topped Dance Club Songs twice in 2003, with "The Wreckoning" and "What U Do 2 Me"; the former song also cracked the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 88). "Gltchlfe" was remixed by Moodyboy, Milk N Cooks and Cristian Poow, among a host of others.

Manning explained the origin of the new track to Billboard: "When [producer] Kevin Drew and I get together, I always feel a magic that's truly hard to find with everyone. He played me a composition he had, named 'Glitch Life.' We chose it as one to focus on and together we collaborated on everything within our own personal interpretations of this feeling the music lent to."

Manning continued, "I feel so pumped and just at home being on the charts again, and it's encouraging to feel like people revere me as the musician I truly am through and through."

Lost Kings featuring Ally Brooke & A$AP Ferg, "Look at Us Now"

Lost Kings, the Los Angeles-based DJ duo of Robert Gainley (Robert Abisi) and Dr. No (Nick Shanholtz), debut at No. 30 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with "Look at Us Now." Featuring Ally Brooke and A$AP Ferg, the track sold 3,000 downloads and collected 510,000 domestic streams in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music. "Look" is the third chart hit for the Kings, following "Phone Down," featuring Emily Warren (No. 25, 2016), and "Quit You," featuring Tinashe (No. 30, earlier this year). It's also the first entry for rapper A$AP Ferg (from A$AP Mob) and singer Brooke (of Fifth Harmony).

Moog, Quarter Mile Dreams (EP)

Australian producer Moog (real name: Blair Joscelyne) motors onto Dance/Electronic Album Sales at No. 7 with Quarter Mile Dreams. The EP is Moog's first top 10 among three appearances, following full-length Kei to the City (No. 21, 2014) and EP Chasing Midnight (No. 19, 2015). Half the hosting team of independent automotive advice video series Mighty Car Mods (with Marty Mulholland), Moog makes music intended for consumption on the road, including the new set's "Neon Lights," featuring Katie Turner, and "Parachute," featuring Glenn Cunningham.
