"Love the people that support you and keep proving everyone wrong,"

The Chainsmokers have a pretty solid sense of how to deal with their critics.

"You don't give a f--- about them love the people that support you and keep proving everyone wrong," the popular-but-maligned dance music duo tweeted on Thursday (June 15).

The tweet was promoted by an interview with a similarly successful-but-widely detested band Nickelback and People, wherein Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger was asked how he handles all the criticism. The conversation turned to The Chainsmokers when Kroeger was asked if he had any advice to the breakout act.

"Don't Google yourself. I never look at press, I never look at comments on anything, it's like what for?" he said. "If you're looking for the negativity it's easy to find."

While simply in responding to the article by Your EDM it appears The Chainsmokers broke some specifics in Kroeger's advice, at least they seem to be on the same page.
