While Avicii announced his retirement from the road in 2016, he did promise that meant more time in the studio. Aside from his guarantee to currently be working on the "best damn album" of his career, apparently his extra studio sessions also includes some time spent by the side of one of dance music's greatest living legends.

In a recent interview before taking the stage at Mawazine Festival in Morocco, Nile Rodgers mentioned working with Avicii on the upcoming Chic album. Billboard Dance has confirmed the comments made by the disco guitar great with Avicii's team.

Nile Rodgers increased his mainstream visibility with dance's next generation thanks in large part to his collaboration with Daft Punk on their crossover smash "Get Lucky" in 2013. The new Chic record is expected by the end of this year.
