Instagram. Snapchat. Facebook. Twitter. There are so many platforms to update, it's a wonder we experience anything at all. Social media has become this ubiquitous elephant in the room, and we're all staring at it instead of each other. At least, that's the danger depicted in Jay Sean's video for his latest single “Do You Love Me?”

"This video is very different from all of my others,” Jay Sean says in an email statement. “I wanted to create a conversation about our growing obsession with social media and how it takes over everything in our lives. This story is about a girl who can't get past her own phone even in the middle of a lit party. The love affair is with herself... reflected by the phone and all the social media platforms she uses every day"

As a song, “Do You Love Me?” is about as innocuously fun as it gets. The summertime, tropical house beat is produced by Rock Mafia and Cory Enemy and provides the perfect sunny-side-up backdrop for Sean's sing-along vocal. It's a slice of pop perfection with a side of cautionary tale. Enjoy.
