Odesza Ends Musical Draught With New Single 'Line of Sight': Listen

Odesza

You asked for it, and it's finally here: a new Odesza song to excite your ears.

“Line of Sight” is a beat-driven single with a sweeping synth melody that gives a pop sheen to the Odesza sound. A catchy vocal melody from WYNNE provides an immediate hook, with additional vocals from Mansionair. A rising chorus at the song's end brings a seriously cinematic feel to the tune that fans have begged for nearly three years.

“We linked up with WYNNE, and this song started out as an idea that he emailed to us,” Odesza's Harrisson Mills says. “We traded versions back-and-forth, and also sent the song to Mansionair in Australia, to see if they had ideas for it. They added the backing vocals, and it fit really well with WYNNE’s lead vocal.”

“That process of trading files with collaborators - as opposed to working in person - was something we’ve done on all our releases,” Mills continues. “But since In Return came out, we’ve grown a lot as musicians and producers, and feel like we’re closer than ever to making this bigger cinematic sound we have in our heads.”

Catch Odesza playing “Line of Sight” as a headliner of Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle this Labor Day Weekend, Sep. 1 through 3. Get to know the long-awaited new single by listening to it over and over again below.
