Wax Motif & Jevon Doe Enter the Neon Void on 'Used 2 Be': Watch
Something beautiful is going down between Wax Motif and Jevon Doe. The pair linked up after the producer discovered the Houston rapper on Spotify, and the two quickly found themselves simpatico in the studio. They've been working on a ton of music, some of which will come out under Wax Motif's name and some for Doe's upcoming projects.
The first taste of this new blossoming relationship is “Used 2 Be,” coming out on Gary Richard's HITS HARD label. The high-energy single bounces bright and bubbly with a pitched-up vocal and a music video that matches its explosive colorful energy. It's a blur of neon LEDs, a shout-out to Tokyo's flashy nightlife culture, until Doe comes in strong on the mic and in the passenger seat of a white, top-down convertible.
It's as memorable a visual as the tune is catchy. “Used 2 Be” is out Friday, but you can check out the song and the eye-numbing music video today, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
