If Shaun Frank's future-bass hooks and storyline first songwriting approach sounds familiar, it might have something to do with his co-writing credit on The Chainsmokers' chart-topping hit “Closer.” The Canadian producer and DJ has been collaborating lately, but his latest single “No Future” marks the first in a string of wholly original material.

“(This song) ironically marks the beginning of an awesome new stage in my career, signing with ULTRA records, a big new single, and massive north American tour around it,” Frank says. “I’ve been sitting on a lot of this new music for awhile, so to finally have the new single come out and be heard is the best feeling. The response I’m getting from from fans and friends hearing it in at my shows recently is incredible, some kids already singing the words back to me and the songs not even out yet is insane.”

“No Future” is the kind of groove you put on when you get lost in wistful reverie. Vocalist DYSON sings in a high rasp about finding the power to let go and helps build into the tune's pitched-up, choppy hook. Interstellar synths draw you back in the verses before coming back up. It's a pop-ready single that seems perfect for the dance-commercial crossover dominating the Hot 100 today. Check the full song and lyric video below, exclusively on Billboard Dance
