Watch A-Trak Talk DJing for Daft Punk, Future of Fool's Gold & More at Miami Music Week

In 1998, A-Trak was 16. He was a battle DJ toeing the line between hip-hop and dance. His label Fool's Gold wasn't even an idea on the radar when he hit Miami for his first Winter Music Conference. He played a few sets around town, gave it his all, and kept coming back every year.

About 10 years later, he met his heroes Daft Punk and nearly lost it when they told him they'd saw him DJ at that WMC all those years ago. Suffice to say, Miami Music Week has a special place in A-Trak's heart. We caught up with the DMC world champion and electro icon after his set at the SiriusXM Music Lounge to chat about those early days of his career, the 10-year anniversary of Fool's Gold, dental hygiene and more. Check it out below.
