Pham Goes Deep and Dark With Sober Rob & Madi on 'Alibi:' Premiere

Time to sit down and put on your serious face. Pham cooked up an emotional heater with his buddy Sober Rob, and you're gonna be swayin' by the time “Alibi” is through.

The groove builds steady over a heavy foundation of mood. There's something haunting about it, though the melodic hook is decidedly grimy.

“The decision was to set the sounds in contrast,” Pham and Sober Rob say. “We found our common creative ground with (vocalist) Madi. In this example, the vocals became really light and instrumentation started to get gritty and hard hitting.”

“Alibi” is out on Zeds Dead's Deadbeats records, and it's the artists' attempt to switch up what they see as a stale musical landscape.

“We wanted to introduce something new, push the envelope amongst the wave of replicating sound aesthetics,” they say. “To sum it up, what you're about to hear is an otherworldly thing. An anthem, if you'd call it one.”

Check it out for yourself below. Look out for Pham droppin' “Alibi” and more at Electric Forest, Middlelands, and Red Rocks.
