The Chainsmokers have enlisted the help of a "savage" Australian drummer for their upcoming Memories: Do Not Open tour. Matt McGuire comes on board as an honorary member for the EDM act's run of arena dates, which kick off in April.

The Aussie session muso is making a name for himself with his series of cover videos in which he blazes away to a banging chart hit. McGuire's resume includes overlays on tracks by Skrillex and Rick Ross, Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots and the Chainsmokers, none of which went unnoticed by his new bandmates.

Drew Taggart and Alex Pall introduced their “savage” sticksman with a string of social media updates

“Best cover ever,” the duo posted on Facebook. “Matt McGuire is joining us on our #MDNOTour! Welcome to the Chainsmokers Matt! We found him online from his covers! So it's only right we announce this with his amazing Paris cover."

The Chainsmokers recently revealed their upcoming album, also titled Memories: Do Not Open, will consist of all new music besides lead single “Paris,” which has a peak position of No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Click here for tour dates.
