Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard's dance charts.
Heritage electronic-funk act Jamiroquai debuts at No. 31 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with "Automaton." The title cut from the London-based group's March 31 album is the Jay Kay-fronted act's second chart hit, following "Canned Heat," which reached No. 10 in May 2014. The new track drew 775,000 U.S. streams and sold 1,000 downloads in its first tracking week (ending Feb. 2), according to Nielsen Music. Jamiroquai hit No. 1 on Top Dance/Electronic Albums in 2001 with A Funk Odyssey (three months after the chart launched). Jamiroquai's history on the Billboard 200 dates back to its first entry in 1997, the No. 24-peaking Traveling Without Moving, which houses the Grammy Award-winning track "Virtual Insanity."
