Australia's Rising Star Swindail is 'Jussrite' With Jazzy, Funky, Future Tune: Exclusive

Tim Hobson

The dance world often looks to Australia for what's coming next next, and Down Under taste-makers are currently directing eyes towards Swindail, a 19-year-old producer who also teaches classes for Ableton and recently got hand-picked by Mr. Carmack to open for his sets in Melbourne.

He's worked with trend-setting collectives Future Classic, Soulection, and OWSLA. He was invited to speak at Sydney's Electronic Music Conference. Aussie radio station Triple J loves him. So does Skrillex. He doesn't take himself too seriously. He's pretty damn likeable.

But of course what really matters is the music, and Swindail's latest single is neither too cute or too pretentious. Featuring vocals from SACHI and Naji, it's also not too trendy, but not too underground. It gives you the playful, vibrant energy kids love from future house, with all the delectable sophistication of heady beat culture. Just like the name says, it's honestly “Jussrite.”

The funky, jazzy, bubbly track is out everywhere Friday, Jan. 27, but you can listen to it below exclusively on Billboard Dance
